What power supply does it require?
It requires a 9V DC power supply with centre-negative polarity, using a 2.1mm connector. The maximum current draw is over 150mA. A power supply is not included.
What connections does it have?
It features 6.3mm jack input and output sockets, a 9V DC power supply connection (coaxial socket 5.5 x 2.1mm), an FX loop jack, and an external trigger input jack.
What is the clean blend control for?
The clean blend allows you to mix your unprocessed dry signal with the distorted signal. This helps preserve your natural guitar tone and pick attack, especially useful when using the pedal with an already overdriven amp.
What do the three clipping modes do?
Silicon (Si) mode provides compression similar to classic distortion pedals for smooth leads. Asymmetric (A-S) mode offers more headroom with added grit and harmonic complexity. OFF mode removes diode clipping for a less compressed, clearer distortion suitable for bass or baritone guitars.
Can I use other effects with this pedal?
Yes, it includes an FX loop located between the distortion and noise gate sections, allowing you to insert your favourite modulation, delay, or other effects into the signal chain.
What does the external trigger input do?
The external trigger input allows you to control the built-in noise gate from an external source, enabling creative noise gating techniques beyond the pedal's standard operation.
Is it suitable for bass guitar?
Yes, particularly when using the OFF clipping mode which provides less compression and more clarity, making it well-suited for baritone or bass guitars where note definition is important.
