What is the difference between Chorus and Vibrato mode?
In Chorus mode, the effect provides a 50/50 blend of your dry (original) signal and the modulated wet signal, creating a thickening, shimmering effect. In Vibrato mode, the output is 100% wet signal, resulting in a more pronounced pitch modulation effect where the original dry signal is not present.
What does the Bias switch do?
The Bias switch offers three distinct settings that alter the waveform shape and sweep of the modulation effect. This changes the tonal character and intensity of the 'warble', providing different vintage-inspired flavours from the same pedal.
Does it require a special power supply?
It requires a standard 9V DC centre-negative power supply, drawing less than 100mA. A power adapter is not included with the pedal.
Is the pedal true bypass?
Yes, it features selectable True or Buffered Bypass, allowing you to choose the best option for your signal chain to preserve tone when the pedal is off.
Can it be used in a stereo setup?
Yes, the Strymon Ultraviolet has a TRS stereo input and a TRS stereo output, making it fully compatible with stereo pedalboard configurations and recording setups.
What is the purpose of the USB port?
The USB port is used for firmware updates, allowing Strymon to provide future enhancements and fixes for the pedal's internal software.
What is included in the box?
The pedal is supplied with a quick start guide. A power supply, audio cables, and MIDI cables are not included.
