The Novation Peak is an eight-voice desktop polyphonic synthesizer module that uniquely blends analogue sound generation with digital flexibility. Designed as a compact, tabletop instrument, it provides comprehensive synthesis capabilities without requiring an integrated keyboard, making it ideal for integration into existing studio setups or live performance racks. Each voice also features a resonant multi-mode analogue filter and three points of analogue distortion in the signal path. The modulation system is extensive, featuring a 16-slot modulation matrix, 16 direct parameter assignments, three ADSR envelopes, and two LFOs per voice, allowing for deep and intricate sound design. For performance, it includes an arpeggiator with 33 patterns, built-in reverb, delay, and chorus effects, and responds to polyphonic aftertouch. The synth is well-suited for both studio producers and performing musicians seeking a versatile sound module. Its connectivity includes 5-pin MIDI I/O, USB for communication and patch management via Novation's Components software, CV modulation input, and pedal inputs. The included Ableton Live Lite 9 software facilitates immediate music production.
