Is this a monophonic or polyphonic synthesizer?
The Behringer PRO-1 is a monophonic synthesizer as a standalone unit. However, it features a 16-voice Poly Chain function that allows you to link multiple PRO-1 modules together to achieve polyphony of up to 16 voices.
Does it include a keyboard?
No, the PRO-1 is a desktop synthesizer module and does not include a built-in keyboard. It is controlled via MIDI (over USB or traditional MIDI ports) from an external keyboard, sequencer, or DAW.
Is it compatible with Eurorack modular systems?
Yes. The main synthesizer module can be removed from its desktop case and installed into a standard Eurorack case, making it a complete Eurorack-compatible solution. It also features 15 patch points for connecting to other Eurorack modules via CV.
What waveforms do the oscillators produce?
Oscillator A produces Sawtooth and Pulse waveforms. Oscillator B produces Sawtooth, Triangle, and Pulse waveforms. Both oscillators can run simultaneously, and you can mix their outputs with a noise generator.
What type of filter does it have?
It features a classic 4-pole voltage-controlled filter (VCF) with low-pass and high-pass modes. The filter includes controls for cutoff frequency, resonance (which can go into self-oscillation), and envelope and keyboard modulation amounts.
What connectivity does it offer?
The PRO-1 provides comprehensive connectivity including audio output, an audio input for processing external sources, MIDI In/Out/Thru via 5-pin DIN ports, USB-MIDI, and 15 CV/Gate patch points for modular integration.
What is included in the box?
The unit typically includes the PRO-1 synthesizer module in its desktop case, a power supply, and a user manual. It does not include MIDI or audio cables.
