What scale are these miniatures?
They are epic scale miniatures, designed for the Legions Imperialis game system, where infantry are approximately 8mm tall.
Do the miniatures come pre-assembled or painted?
No, the miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly. They are multi-part plastic kits.
Can these models be used in other Warhammer games?
They are specifically designed for Legions Imperialis, the epic-scale Horus Heresy game. They are not directly compatible with larger-scale games like Warhammer: The Horus Heresy (28mm) or Warhammer 40,000 without conversion.
What factions can use these automata?
They form the core of a Mechanicum or Dark Mechanicum army in Legions Imperialis. They can also be taken as Allied Detachments by Legiones Astartes (Space Marine) or Solar Auxilia armies.
Are there weapon options for the Castellax models?
Yes, the Castellax Battle-automata have options. Each can be equipped with shock charges or power blades, and a choice of in-built bolters or flamers. Shoulder-mounted weapon options include mauler bolt cannons, a darkfire cannon, and a multi-melta.
Are the models poseable?
Yes, the kit includes options for customisation. There are three different arm joints for each automaton, plus joints at the waist and shoulders, allowing for a variety of dynamic poses.
